Many people think that And Blue Windows is the internet and not go through the mind that there are other browsers in order to browse the internet. My favorite, já de longa data, is Firefox, but I was impressed with the performance of Google Chrome when it was released.
And as the blue, Internet Explorer of Microsoft, always found very slow. The Internet Explorer 6 was reasonable in performance, but far behind technologically. Ai launched Internet Explorer 7, a wagon that just made me, and many people also, more like Firefox. And today, to my surprise, launched the final version of Internet Explorer 8! Must be a plane right? Will? Well, What a disappointment ...
But how to put numbers in the sense that a browser is faster than the other? Here comes an application of Futuremark Corporation, the same company of the famous software 3DMark and PCMark benchmark, that will put in numbers that feeling; the Peacekeeper.
I used it to find the performance of some browsers (not all because even I do not know all) duas using different machines:
- CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT, Ram: 2.5GB
- CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor E2160, GPU: Intel ® GMA 3000/3100 (on board), Ram: 2GB
The Peacekeeper simulates some operations that typically browsers are tasked to do and check how long it took each browser to perform each operation.
Results:
OBS: In the table of results of AMD is showing Internet Explorer 6.0, but it is actually Internet Explorer 8.0. You've installed the newest version at about the same time it was launched and, therefore, the Peacekeeper not recognize that version correctly.
Comments:
You know the Safari? It is, nor I. Heard it through the corners, I decided to include this test and I kept my mouth open. The animal is very fast, clueless! :) But how is still in beta and should not have the same friend of my Firefox plugins, I will not continue with it on my machine, but it was nice to meet you. The beta version of Firefox is faster than the current stable release, but still behind Chrome and Safari. And as the blue, well, this ai, same version 8, will be played on the machine in the corner here ...

Oi Bruno.
Use Chrome, I think very good but I have heard comments about their vulnerability (passwords leak) and realize that it is not as stable. But still prefer. As for Safari, he is by Mac but also quite liked… is sober, 'clean', hence, faster. But they all, inclusive o 'firefox', have a disability: Plugins….
Acho que a única vantagem do 'E azul' is no need to download plugins… but, I agree, the animal is too slow. Then, others prefer.
Abs. And congratulations on the blog.
