I always had the curiosity to know who wins the battle between consumer electric shower shower vs. gas. I confess that my bathroom is one of the fastest, but always get a bad conscience when I'm taking a shower and the water is heated by the gas system. I'm very time trying to regulate the temperature of the water, that always heats up much more than you intended and always cools very suddenly when there would.
See Reading the magazine today (edition 2185 - Year 43 – nº 40), page 140 has a short note explaining that the bath with electric shower is, really, more economical than the bath with shower gas. Clear that the calculation is not based only on electricity, but also in the waste water. This story is the fight:
Electric Shower |
X |
A Gas |
R$0,30 |
R$0,59 |
*taking an bath 8 minutes.
In other reports this calculation also gives other results, but in all the victory is always electric shower.
There is also so-called hybrid showers, providing an overall savings more than the electric shower, associating electricity with solar. Unfortunately I still do not have this here at home.
If you want to know more about this topic, suggest the reports "How much does your bathroom? Not only is the time in the shower that makes the difference” e a “Electric shower uses more energy, but uses less water”.
In other words, you always thought, just proving ...
OR, I believe there is a mistake in this entry, manufacture a shower gas which is more economical than the electric, heating is instantaneous, no greater expense because water does not use the same pressurizer, or mixer and, the temperature is regulated immediately after firing, Besides being 1000% more economical than an electric shower and consumes 1/4 of heaters market. We won the 4th Premio Brazil Environment and we have support from FAPERJ, therefore, this matter is outdated, take a look at http://www.chuveirosnc.com,br and check out what I am telling. Thank you for your attention.

Here at home is gas, but the four people who live here, only takes one hot bath. Even in winter the gang here goes cold bath (have done this in the mountainous region with 4C – the problem is the first time, then goes well).
@ Homer: Speech! For those who can take a cold shower really is the best thing! Economics and is very good for health. Unfortunately I can not… :(
I take cold showers tbm, but qdo am with muscle aches, I use the hot water for a few minutes. D qq form, in my house even with the gas consumption is lower, first coz the water bill is in charge of condo ( my pocket does not change if you spend less water – but rather be ecologically correct); secondly, table water flow used in reference links are, the average, 22% higher than that I use in my residence. Conclusion: Pay less than a conventional hybrid system.
Summary: The higher the ambient temperature less financial outlay. KKKKK :)
Hey guys if People take bath friu the post guys or is valid. We need posts of people that is related to this matter.
A well regulated gas heater with a hydraulic system not overloaded provide one of the best baths that a human being can have: plenty of water at the correct temperature.
No electric shower for better be not even close.
The shower in my apartment is worth every penny cost more.
But I recognize that there are many poorly made designs that end up making the gas heater stay with a ma fame.
