In the historical record versions are often more important than facts! The story is always told in the versions that won the war, or those who prefer the politically correct and extol the virtues and strengths of the fact.
In the history books we studied in school, the facts are narrated with a poetic tale focused on the positive qualities of the martyrs and at most one negative quote somewhere isolated.
In the book Guia Politically incorreto from América Latina, Leandro Narloch and Duda Teixeira, you will face another side of the story. One side we have not found recorded in the textbooks of our schools. Politically Incorrect Guide Latin America plays in your face other versions that can shock the fanatic fans of idols historical.
Ever wanted to read the Politically Incorrect Guide History of Brazil, but never cared seriously about buying l0. My cousin Flavia just presenting me with this book, with focus on Latin America, and also with the promise to lend me the Brazil, we have secured on your shelf.
Latin America is a very large region and there is certainly plenty of history to be told, especially in its realistic renditions, but this book, only 336 pages, is unable to cover all, and the authors decided to focus on only a few characters.
Che Guevara
For the followers of Che, estampam that the image on their shirts that guerrilla, in order to fight for peace, love and justice, certainly should stay well away from this book. Argentina was lucky to have exported the socialist killer before he turned his way “evil”.
The Politically Incorrect Guide in Latin America focuses on the passage of Che Guevara during their union with Fidel Castro and the revolutionary struggle in Cuba. The guide shows how this historical character evolved and ended up doing things that even a ruthless killer would have thought twice about doing. Beyond, of course, drastic policy decisions that have negatively affected the lives of the residents of Cuba.
Aztecs, Incas and Mayans
I always had in mind the image of the Spanish conquistadors massacred indigenous people here in Latin America. Pity the Indians who were to live in peace in the ancient world.
Ledo engano! Aztecs, Incas and Mayans, the three largest tribes living in eastern South America, lived in bloody wars with other tribes rivals, were in favor of slavery Losers and also human sacrifices (including children) to calm their imaginary Gods.
With the arrival of the Spaniards, Aztec people, Incas and Mayans saw the opportunity to increase their military might and conquer more territories, enslave more people and have more people for their sacrifices!
Do not read this paragraph if not stronger. Skip now! The sacrifices were made in humans still alive and most consisted of removing the victim's heart with her still alive, making a cut below the ribs and sticking his hand to the heart! OK, it is easy to judge this action today as repugnant, worthy of severe punishment, but religion it causes in people. When faith determines that the conquest “B” depends upon sacrifice “A”, there are no facts that they can change this reality.
Conclusion
The book also tells of Simon Bolivar of Venezuela (curiosity, Bolivia is named in honor of this person), the revolution of the blacks in Haiti, Evita Peron e da Argentina, Pancho Villa's Mexico and Salvador Allende of Chile. All characters marked the history of their countries, idolized by many inhabitants today, with stories that make us want to spit on each page turn.
Do not read this book thinking they will find the work of these remarkable and positive characters. There will! In this guide you will see the versions of facts that are forgotten purposely books from schools.
This book is very good for those who love history. Better yet for those wishing to discover also the other side of the same coin.
Unfortunately the book does not cover all characters of Latin America. Look falta do Fidel Castro, as mentioned in chapter coadjuvante of Che Guevara. Certainly there are others but not entered in the book.Perhaps trade issues, as if all were present, this guide compete with George R. R. Martin or even the Bible, certainly!
Now I feel like reading the guides of Brazil and the World! First, I borrow!???
