As always speak, book is good book read. There are books for fun (there are people who see the novel and Big Brother) and has books that add much in our lives. I love both types, and this book “As for Less, Better“, do Leo Babauta, publisher sextant, certainly added a lot in my life. This book gives you simple tips to reduce stress. Practical examples and real, employed by the author, demonstrate the power of the tips in the book proposals. I imagine that being a reporter, writer, editor and father of 6 children can be a very stressful life, but the author proves that this could transform your life into something very enjoyable.
The main message of the book is to simplify our lives, giving focus to the most important tasks and that will bring a greater return for our purposes.
The author outlines six principles of productivity. They are:
- Establish limits;
- Choose the essential;
- Simplify;
- Keep the focus;
- Create new habits;
- Start with little;
With these principles the author helps us create healthier habits, to cope better with the(s) our(s) box(s) E-mail, keep us focused on our tasks and goals and, for me, the main, Always start with little. A great example is, Inves the whole pack of quarto or whole house, tedious and time consuming task, clean a drawer daily.
I really enjoyed the book and recommend very strongly reading. If you are stressed, read now. If not, also read to learn how to never enter that state taxing.
I liked it so much that I created a mind map with the main points of the theories employed by the author. Below is the link:
