Today, day 30/06/2009, is the launch day Mozilla Firefox 3.5 and many say that it came faster than the previous version 3.0.11. As had already conducted a performance testing of various browsers, in a previous post, I decided to redo this test, involving the browsers current market and really know what was the fastest.
In the previous test, the Safari 4.0, still in its beta version, beat all other competitors with a wide gap edge, to Chrome Google and Firefox in second place in the third. Okay that Opera had not included in the previous test, but the most interesting was the evidence of Internet Explorer in the last position.
In the current test, some positions were exchanged, but Internet Explorer continued quietly in his corner, nay, its always the last position, but the most interesting, losing much!
As stated in the previous test performance, used again the Peacekeeper with the machine below:
- CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor E2160, GPU: Intel ® GMA 3000/3100 (on board), Ram: 2GB
Comments:
Unfortunately we can not compare the results of this test with previous test, because the tool Peacekeeper started using some criteria more in their assessment, no longer beta to a final. But this time I was not surprised with the first Safari 4.0, Now that is no longer beta. I was surprised with the new Firefox 3.5 yes, it is, by feeling, faster than previous versions and the same tests faster than Opera, said to be much faster than this new version of Firefox.
What left me not a little surprised it was the performance of Internet Explorer 8, that remained in the last position and with a mediocre score, not reaching half of the performance of the penultimate.
As was commented before, although not Firefox, today, the browser's fastest, I will continue using it because I like the fox and its various plugins that help me a lot in the day-to-day.
