Have you ever had the curiosity to look for your name in Google? If you have not done this search, experiments. I'm sure you will be amazed.
Many of our information is publicly available on the Internet and not know it. This is something troubling, especially for those who value their privacy by. Who today has a website / blog, is a social network, discussion group, or made public tender, certainly has relevant information available, for those who want to see, a mouse click.
The tip of this post is to use technology, the same spreading our data, to warn us about anything on the Internet that makes reference to our name or find relevant matters. I'm talking about Google Alertas.
Below is a brief explanation of each field available:
- Search query: here you put that term should be researched. Eu, eg, I placed my name Bruno Cunha;
- Result Type: the search can be only in "News", "blogs", "videos", "discussions", "books" or all of these types without distinction;
- Frequency: "When available" - so Google index the information that contains the term of your search, the alert is triggered; "Once a day" - you get a daily email with the survey information consolidated; "Once a week" - weekly email with consolidated data.
- How many: "Only the best results" - Google selects the most relevant results and only triggers the alert for such cases; "All the results" - Google sends any information that meets your search term.
- "Send to": Here you enter your e-mail you want to receive alerts.
Once configured alert, is to wait until the end of your search appears in some corner of this vast forest of information called the Internet.
