Many people still prefer to type each word in the old way. My girlfriend is one of them. :)

The first and most obvious is the much higher speed in typing texts and the second is the possibility of writing texts in several languages using T9, with possibility to disable it quickly to specific words.
Always used and always liked. Gimme trauma having to click several times to type a single word. The T9 always eased my life.
